Monmouth County lifeguards selected for USLA Youth National Team

Three lifeguards from Monmouth County, New Jersey, were selected for the United States Lifesaving Association (USLA) Youth National Team. The athletes will compete at the 2026 Lifesaving World Championships in South Africa from Nov. 29 to Dec. 7, 2026. Jackson Napolitano of the Deal Beach Patrol and Emily Sudol of the Sea Girt Beach Patrol are among the three selected local guards. The name of the third lifeguard selected for the team is not mentioned. Sudol previously represented the U.S. at the world championships in Australia two years ago, and Napolitano made his national debut at the 2026 USLA National Championships in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in August. The national squad includes athletes from California, Delaware, and Jones Beach, New York. The Lifesaving World Championships showcase how lifesaving athleticism translates real-world rescue skills into high-stakes sport.
