Pentagon plans to livestream Dec. 3 firing squad execution of Fort Hood shooter

The U.S. military plans to livestream the execution of Nidal Hasan, a Pentagon official said.

Hasan is an ex-Army major convicted of the 2009 killing of 13 people at Fort Hood.

President Donald Trump approved the firing squad execution, according to the Pentagon.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said the public execution will be the first by firing squad in decades.

For Indian American defense personnel and military families tracking federal justice proceedings, the case marks the first military firing squad execution in decades.
