Andhra Pradesh launches Rs 3,222 crore Tirupati project and Venkatadri App

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu virtually laid foundation stones from the Amaravati Secretariat for development projects worth Rs 3,222 crore under the Tirupati Urban Development Authority.
The project establishes an integrated pilgrim township with an accommodation complex at Alipiri costing Rs 1,332 crore, offering 2,700 rooms across four blocks for 15,000 devotees daily.
The site includes an Annaprasada center costing Rs 160 crore to serve 6,000 devotees at once, alongside four pilgrim amenities complexes built for Rs 486 crore to host 16,000 resting devotees.
A multi-level parking complex costing Rs 311 crore will hold 4,500 vehicles, accompanied by an integrated transport terminal with 30 bus bays costing Rs 90 crore.
The plan adds emergency medical centers, modern security systems, a pilgrim experience center, and digital information kiosks to reduce congestion on Tirumala by expanding lower Tirupati facilities.
Chief Minister Naidu launched the Venkatadri App to provide operational and pilgrimage information to visiting devotees.
The initiative also began work on nine master plan roads costing Rs 242 crore in Tirupati, including three routes leading to the Tiruchanur Padmavathi Ammavari temple.
A residential layout covering 418 acres will provide housing plots for 5,192 Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams employees, with Rs 230 crore allocated for roads, drainage, water, and power infrastructure.
For Indian-origin families and visiting parents planning Tirupati pilgrimages, the new infrastructure expands lodging, transit facilities, and digital access.
