BJP MP alleges opposition seeks Bangladesh-style regime change against Modi
Telangana Bharatiya Janata Party MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy alleged in a video presentation released by the BJP that opposition protests aim to remove Prime Minister Narendra Modi without winning elections.
Speaking in front of maps and informational slides, Reddy claimed the opposition is pursuing a Bangladesh-style regime change.
He stated that protests over NEET, E20, UPI, EVM, and CEC are not about standalone issues but an effort to bring about regime change.
Reddy asserted that recent protests in Bangladesh are supporting the Indian opposition's protests against the government.
He noted that the 2015 India-Bangladesh Land Boundary Agreement resolved border issues involving 111 Indian enclaves in Bangladesh and 51 Bangladeshi enclaves in India, including second-order and third-order enclaves.
Reddy stated that illegal immigration continues despite the 2015 agreement and called for the India-Bangladesh border to be fenced, patrolled, and guarded.
For Indian Americans tracking homeland politics, the remarks reflect escalating political rhetoric linking border security, electoral roll revisions, and opposition protests.
