Indian-origin students and professionals die suddenly in the US

A series of reported sudden deaths involving Indian-origin individuals in the United States has raised concern, though no statistical surge has been established.

Sasikanth Reddy Donthireddy, 30, died of cardiac arrest on February 16, 2026, after completing two master's degrees in the US.

Sunil Kumar Gundrai, a Capgemini IT professional in Tampa, Florida, died of a heart attack on May 7, 2026.

Nallamala Akshitha, a recent master's graduate, reportedly died of suspected cardiac arrest in Albany, New York, in October 2026; her age is reported as 23 or 25.

Kalam Yashwanth Reddy died in the US from sudden cardiac arrest, according to an October 2026 fundraiser.

Pratik Pandey, 35, a Microsoft engineer, was found dead at the company's Silicon Valley campus in August 2025.

For Indian-origin students and professionals in the US, these tragic individual losses highlight the importance of medical follow-up and distinguishing suspected cardiac events from unconfirmed causes.
